Finding Child Care  -  We Can Help You!

DISCLAIMER

These are REFERRALS, NOT REFERENCES

A. We refer parents to licensed providers who are members of the Monterey County Family Child Care Association.  All our members are licensed family child care providers through the California Community Care Licensing Division. (click here for more information)  We provide an objective information listing service only.

B. No claims are made as to the suitability of any child care provider to whom referrals are made. These are not references.

C. It is the parent's or guardian's responsibility to

  1. visit the provider during her business hours,

  2. check out the home and children,

  3. interview the provider,

  4. check out any references, and

  5. then determine if it is the place you CHOOSE to leave your child.

The parent's or guardian's also have the right to request to see a Facility Report; this report is generated by the Dept. of Social Services at the time of a home visit and must be available for you to see.

Click here for a checklist of what to look for when interviewing prospective child care providers.

We are here to provide a service to the community and will provide all members names who are licensed through the Dept. of Social Services.

However, not all of our 200 members wish to be listed on the internet.  For names of more child care providers, call the following numbers for more referrals:
